Nexplanon
Within the First 3 months, spotting or breakthrough bleeding is common.

Treatment usually is done for bleeding beyond 3 months that bothers the patient.
Treatment
Try NSAIDs: Ibuprofen 400 to 800 mg three times a day for 5 to 10 days.
Exogenous Estrogen to stabilize the endometrial lining.
-Combined OCP or as mono-therapy can be used. I prefer combined OCP than estrogen-only therapy pill because women are more familiar with it. Use combined OCPs for 10 to 20 days to try to decrease bleeding. May also cycle patient on combined OCPs for 1 to 3 months to cause scheduled bleeding.
