I have used Chlorhexidine in the clinic in the following situations.
| Hidradenitis Supprativa | Hibiclens (Chlorhexidine topical 4% Sol) and Doxycycline 100mg BID. |
| Oral rash in a pt who had oral sex. NB: Peridex also treats gingivitis. | Peridex (Chlorhexidine Oropharyngeal 0.12% Sol). Rx: 15ml swish/spit bid PLUS Azithromycin for 5 days. |
Both Chlorhexidine topical and Chlorhexidine Oropharyngeal are Chlorhexidine Gluconate solutions. The only difference is the 0.12% vs. 4%.
