#Cradle cap (Seborrheic Dermatitis in infants)
-Is a common and self-limited condition.
-Educate and reassure parents.
-Will first start with conservative measures: Emollients and frequent sampooing to soften and remove scales.
-If conservative tx fails, will use either Hydrocortisone 1% or 2.5% applied QD x 1 week ORĀ Ketoconazole 2% shampoo or cream BID x two weeks.
-If the rash doesn’t resolve after one week of corticosteroid tx or two weeks of antifungal therapy, will reconsider diagnosis.
