Frequent Inpatient To Do List

HOSPITAL MEDICINE

  1. Order AM Labs
  2. Review tests, labs, studies, procedures ordered that day
  3. Check pending cultures
  4. Check antibiotics and know what day # it is. Do they need to continue?
  5. Know Disposition and end point for each patient. Where do we need to get with the patient for them to be discharged?
  6. Where will he/she be going? Home? Home with home health? Home with hospice? Boarding Facility? (Assisted Living), SNF?
  7. Order any tests discussed during rounds
  8. Review meds to make sure each one is still needed.
  9. Do a short paragraph evening note if necessary to record pt progress.
