-DDx of knee pain reviewed.
-Pain occurs most frequently at the site where the tendon crosses over the lateral femoral epicondyle.
-Tenderness of an area 2 cm proximal to the lateral joint line.

OA
Pes anserine bursitis
Meniscal Tear
Osgood-Schlatter disease
Patellofemoral syndrome

 

**Note:
OA or meniscal tear would have pain in the joint space with palpation.
Pes anserine bursitis is characterized by pain in the medial knee distal to the joint space, at the conjoined tendon of the sartorius, gracilis, and semitendinosus.
