  • Cervical cancer screening should begin at age 21
  • Adolescents should be screened for obesity and provided appropriate behavioral counseling.
  • Sex education programs have been associated with a reduction in the rates of sexually transmitted infections in adolescents. Clinicians should meet with adolescents privately to provide confidentiality. ” ABFM critique.
  • Folic acid 0.4–0.8 mg (400–800  g) daily supplementation per USPSTF recs (for all women planning or capable of pregnancy)
  • Chlamydia screening yearly for all sexually active females under age 25 and older individuals at higher risk.

 

Adults

  • Cervical cancer screening (pap smears starting at age 21 q3y till 30 years. Then q5 if co-testing with HPV done) up to date.
  • Folic acid 0.4–0.8 mg (400–800  g) daily supplementation per USPSTF recs (for all women planning or capable of pregnancy)
  • Chlamydia screening yearly for all sexually active females under age 25 and older individuals at higher risk.
  • Obesity screening
  • Depression screening.
